The dedicated team at Ducklings Childcare are highly qualified, with Level 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6 certifications in childcare and all with paediatric first aid training, and include an Early Years Professional. We are passionate about what we do, and children are truly at the heart of everything we do.
Trained, caring and always ready
To ensure personalised care, every child and family has a dedicated Key Person who provides ongoing support and guidance. We prioritise the safety and well-being of your child by maintaining a team of staff who are Paediatric First Aid Trained, Safeguarding trained, Food Hygiene Trained, and have undergone DBS checks with the update service.
At Ducklings Childcare, we go the extra mile by having apprentice team members and dedicated one-to-one workers/support workers, ensuring that every child receives the individual attention they need to thrive.

We believe in collaboration and actively work with a range of professionals such as Occupational Health Therapists, Physiotherapists, Dieticians, Inclusion Officers, Play Therapists, and local schools. This multidisciplinary approach enables us to provide comprehensive support for children with diverse needs.
Communicate with confidence
We are proud to partner with an NHS speech and language therapist who visits our setting regularly. Together with our dedicated Communication and Language Lead, Catherine Taylor, they enhance language development and communication skills, ensuring every child reaches their full potential.

I’m the owner of Ducklings Childcare. As the Lead SENco and Designated Safeguarding Lead, I’m dedicated to creating a nurturing environment where every child’s needs are met. With a passion for special educational needs and safeguarding, I strive to ensure that each child at Ducklings receives the support and care they deserve.
Sarah White
I’m the proud Manager of Ducklings Childcare. With a strong focus on safety and well-being, I take on the roles of Designated Safeguarding Lead and Fire Marshal. It’s my priority to ensure a secure and nurturing environment where every child can thrive and parents can have peace of mind.

I’m the Deputy Manager of Ducklings Childcare. With a passion for child welfare, I proudly serve as the Designated Safeguarding Lead, prioritising the safety and security of every child in our care. I’m thrilled to serve as the Communication and Language Lead at Ducklings Childcare. With a passion for fostering effective communication skills, I work diligently to support and enhance language development in every child. Together with our team, I strive to create a warm and engaging environment where little voices are heard and valued.
Janine Rimicans
I’m excited to be the Outside Play Lead at Ducklings Childcare. With a love for the great outdoors, I ensure that children have enriching experiences and meaningful learning opportunities in our outdoor spaces. Through engaging activities and exploration, we embrace the wonders of nature and foster a love for outdoor play.
Wendy Rothwell
I’m the enthusiastic Nursery Chef at Ducklings Childcare. With a passion for nutritious and delicious meals, I create delightful culinary experiences for our little ones. I take pride in providing wholesome meals that fuel their growth and development, making me an integral part of their healthy journey.
